kde 3.5.4 is dripping into sid from today on.
For some dist-upgrade wants to remove all of kde. So please watch out for stuff to be removed.
In the best case, kdelibs are to be held back, dist-upgrade is ok then, as it is for most users.
Otherwise just check the news here, or, if you want to dist-upgrade, you could put kdelibs on hold:
echo kdelibs-data hold|dpkg --set-selections
You will have to unhold that, as soon as kde 3.5.4 is complete to be able to get to cuttent then. Edit:
All important packages from KDE 3.5.4 are in Sid now, so todays dist-upgrade is smooth again.
One little annoaynce is ugly fonts in gtk apps like in firefox afterwards. an easy fix is:
Open kcontrol and take out anti aliasing in the fonts section, close it, reopen kcontrol and turn anti aliasing back on and close. Afterwards restart any app that had bad fonts and things look good again.
