Today Kano released a KANOTIX 2006 CeBIT Version

The new preview holds newest packages and kernel 2.6.15.6-kanotix-1
It is now possible to test Nvidia-drivers from the Live-CD without having internet-connection. They are included as an archive and only need to be installed.
Another highlight is the new KANOTIX-Controlcenter knxcc to be found in KDE-kcontrol under KANOTIX or in textmode in konsole.
For fresh installs this preview is to be preferred, because it makes a big dist-upgrade unneccessary right after install.
A known bug is that icons will only appear on the desktop after a device has been mounted; an alternative is to use konqueror media:/ directly
and now happy downloading.
