Ich habe ein etwas in die Jahre gekommenes Kanotix auf meinem Rechner:

und möchte in auf eine aktluelle Version updaten (vor allem wegen Debian Jessie).

Den Upgrade-Pfad von Wheezy zu Jessie habe ich gefunden. Ich bin mir allerdings nicht sicher, was ich mit dem Kanotix-Teil machen soll.
Genügt es, eine sources.list vom aktuellen Kanotix zu nutzen? VirtualBox etc. würde ich nachpflegen.

Also es ist empfehlenswert vor einem Update ein Paket zu löschen: plymouth-theme-kanotix-logo
Dann könnte man vom IRC

Machen und ein erstes dist-upgrade machen. kdm überschreiben lassen, den Rest behalten. Später

Es kann aber immer zu Problemen kommen also solltest ein aktuelles Spitfire 64 ISO auf USB Stick haben. Man kann später noch mehr aufräumen, das wäre halt der Anfang. Debian MM kann auch zusätzliche Probleme bereiten, sowas hab ich bei mir nie aktiviert.
