Hi,
Has anyone ever tried doing this? I don't have an xbox or anything, but I might get one if it's easy to do - especially as they are getting cheaper. I have read the Xbox linux page, but still am unsure how easy it is to do... Also, can Xboxs connect to a LAN? I didn't know they even had modems! |

I tried xdsl and xebian. Performance was good for xdsl - not for xebian. The big xserver takes too much ram, same would be for Kanotix. I could not provide a "fast" solution with full Xorg. Also you need kernel 2.4. Maybe better work on extensions for xdsl. For surfing the Web on TV you can use linux on it - or use it as server if you like to. 100 mbit nic should be fast for home use, just usb 1 is not what i like. HD could be even replaced with a soft modded box - I tried a 80 gb modell. |
