| Last nite using du-upgrade-h2 for upgrading kernel d-u and general fixes somewhere along the line (can't remember), I lost the grub opening screen. It now opens with an error and then says enter any key to continue, which it does to a screen of kernel options (text not normal gui). |

I believe in the past you had to reinstall grub-gfx....??? I forgot the pakage name but that fixes it.
I may be wrong for todays kanotix. |

| Thought I already had tried it. made a typo somewhere. Was typing it in because I am having big fontconfig probs that is making this box very slow and having probs resolving that situation. Was more patient this time and copy and paste and got it right. Worked like it should and fixed things up nice. Thanx. |
