i installed kanotix hellfire (2012) and it works fine! i need to use pptp connection for connecting to internet. i created the connection the same as what i do in gnome. when i click on the created connection nothing happens. neither the connection establishes, nor i get an error message. the configuration is the same as what i did in linux mint (debian edition). |

If everything fails:
apt-get remove --purge network-manager
pppoeconf |

this command will remove the network-manager. note that i do not need a pppoe connection. i connect to our office network without any problem and need pptp connection to connect to internet. |
