also vorab: werde nach und nach weiter ergänzen:
1. nach install: Grub: Name, bzw. Version/deb … etc. wird nicht eindeutig angezeigt (wenn man mehrere distributionen mit selbem-Kernel installiert hat)
2. dmesg: firmware broadcom etc. fehlt: wlan prob ...
sudo apt-get install b43-fwcutter firmware-b43-installer
3. Auf dem desktop: werden alle Ordnerinhalte von Pictures angezeigt/abgespeichert: kann man ändern unter:
Einstellungen Arbeitsflächen-Ordner: Ort: Anzeigen: Arbeitsflächen-Ordner
4. plasma-discover 5.20.5-3 ist mehrmals abgestürzt ( wer es unbedingt braucht … )
5. Auflösung nach install: nur 1024 x 768. Systemeinstellung-Anzeige: Max.-erreichbare-Auflösung: 1280x800 – (bei Hardware: Intel Mobile 4 Series Chipset Integrated Graphics Controller X.Org 1.20.11 [ 1280x800 ]
6. libreoffice 7.3.4.2 hatte anfangs ein Extras/Ansicht/Symbol-Stil problem …
7. bei LIVE konnte direkt ohne (fail -safemode) gebootet werden (bei radeon-gra-ka)
8. spectacle: machte immer 2 jpg: Einstellungen: ändern
9. läuft unauffällig stabil. |

Der Unterschied bei Speedfire liegt nicht nur in den Paketen, sondern auch in der Vorkonfiguration. Diese hat sich auch geändert - zu finden unter /etc/skel später. Grundsätzlich kann man alles updaten, es ist nur umso komplizierter je mehr zusätzliche Paketquellen aktiviert wurden und was alles nachinstalliert wurde. Man kann auch leicht herausfinden welche Pakete nicht mehr existieren würden bei einer Neuinstallation über apt-show-versions.

apt-show-versions -i
apt-show-versions|awk '/No available version in archive/{print $1}'
Daraus bastelt man sich halt eine delete Liste. Von der packages Datei kann man sich eine install Liste bauen mit:

awk '!/^linux/&&!/libre/&&!/^lib/{print $1}' kanotix.packages
Dies hat jetzt nur ein paar offensichtliche Ausnahmen, die könnte man noch erweitern. Soll ja nur als Beispiel dienen. Also man kann durchaus auch mit einem Upgrade ans Ziel kommen, wenn man nicht neu installieren will. |

bei Speedfire64 habe ich jetzt doch öfters:

hi Kano,
also ich hab jetzt mit dem ollen Notebook mit "Steelfire" auch versucht,
den Tipp "oben" auszuführen:

Aber es geht nicht:

awk: Fatal: Die Datei „kanotix.packages“ kann nicht zum Lesen geöffnet werden (Datei oder Verzeichnis nicht gefunden)

... eigentlich brauch ich nur alle packages, die "damals" (auf diesem ollen Notebook/Steelfire) installiert wurden, egal, in welcher Form - damit ich die "Neuen" davon wieder auf dem aktuelleren Deb-Version, installieren kann . . . |

es gibt zwar "dpkg -l"
aber
das kann man ziemlich schlecht "archivieren" ...
Gibt es da keinen "packages-Ausdruck" - wie bei kanotix-nightly-packages ???
Dann kann ich mir mein "schönes-uralt-Kanotix" ordentlich auf das "today" upgraden 
edit: 14:46h
Ich habe es selbst gefunden:
"apt list --installed"
( ...allerdings ist diese Liste im terminal - AUCH NICHT VOLLSTÄNDIG ... )
Optimal wäre: wenn man es in eine Datei speichern könnte / pdf oder odt
dieser befehl:
dpkg -l | egrep "^ii" | awk ' {print $2} ' | sort
( ...leider wird in der Konsole AUCH NICHT ALLES von a-z dargestellt ... ) |

So kann man alle installierten Pakete vom lfd. Kanotix darstellen:

bzw.:
ordentlich benannt:
# dpkg --get-selections | awk '{ print $1 }' > myBullseyePackages
( Der einfache txt-Ausdruck befindet sich danach im "Persönlicher Ordner" / z.B.: per Dolphin öffnen...) |
